221
ﻭَﻟَﺎ ﺗَﻨْﻜِﺤُﻮﺍ ﺍﻟْﻤُﺸْﺮِﻛٰﺖِ ﺣَﺘّٰﻰ ﻳُﺆْﻣِﻦَّ ۗ ﻭَﻟَﺎَﻣَﺔٌ
ﻣُّﺆْﻣِﻨَﺔٌ ﺧَﻴْﺮٌ ﻣِّﻦْ ﻣُّﺸْﺮِﻛَﺔٍ ﻭَّﻟَﻮْ ﺍَﻋْﺠَﺒَﺘْﻜُﻢْ ۚ
ﻭَﻟَﺎ ﺗُﻨْﻜِﺤُﻮﺍ ﺍﻟْﻤُﺸْﺮِﻛِﻴْﻦَ ﺣَﺘّٰﻰ ﻳُﺆْﻣِﻨُﻮْﺍ ۗ
ﻭَﻟَﻌَﺒْﺪٌ ﻣُّﺆْﻣِﻦٌ ﺧَﻴْﺮٌ ﻣِّﻦْ ﻣُّﺸْﺮِﻙٍ ﻭَّﻟَﻮْ ﺍَﻋْﺠَﺒَﻜُﻢْ ۗ
ﺍُﻭﻟٰۤﻯِٕﻚَ ﻳَﺪْﻋُﻮْﻥَ ﺍِﻟَﻰ ﺍﻟﻨَّﺎﺭِ ۖ ﻭَﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪُ ﻳَﺪْﻋُﻮْٓﺍ ﺍِﻟَﻰ
ﺍﻟْﺠَﻨَّﺔِ ﻭَﺍﻟْﻤَﻐْﻔِﺮَﺓِ ﺑِﺎِﺫْﻧِﻪٖۚ ﻭَﻳُﺒَﻴِّﻦُ ﺍٰﻳٰﺘِﻪٖ ﻟِﻠﻨَّﺎﺱِ
ﻟَﻌَﻠَّﻬُﻢْ ﻳَﺘَﺬَﻛَّﺮُﻭْﻥَ
wa lā tangkiḥul-musyrikāti ḥattā yu`minn, wa
la`amatum mu`minatun khairum mim
musyrikatiw walau a'jabatkum, wa lā
tungkiḥul-musyrikīna ḥattā yu`minụ, wa
la'abdum mu`minun khairum mim musyrikiw
walau a'jabakum, ulā`ika yad'ụna ilan-nāri
wallāhu yad'ū ilal-jannati wal-magfirati
bi`iżnih, wa yubayyinu āyātihī lin-nāsi
la'allahum yatażakkarụn
And do not marry idolaters until they believe.
Indeed, a believing female slave is better than a
polytheist woman even if she attracts your heart.
And do not marry idolaters before they believe.
Indeed, the servant of a believing man is better
than a polytheist man even if he attracts your
heart. They invite to hell, while God invites to
heaven and forgiveness with His permission.
(Allah) explains His verses to the people that they
may take heed.
222
ﻭَﻳَﺴْـَٔﻠُﻮْﻧَﻚَ ﻋَﻦِ ﺍﻟْﻤَﺤِﻴْﺾِ ۗ ﻗُﻞْ ﻫُﻮَ ﺍَﺫًﻯۙ
ﻓَﺎﻋْﺘَﺰِﻟُﻮﺍ ﺍﻟﻨِّﺴَﺎۤﺀَ ﻓِﻰ ﺍﻟْﻤَﺤِﻴْﺾِۙ ﻭَﻟَﺎ
ﺗَﻘْﺮَﺑُﻮْﻫُﻦَّ ﺣَﺘّٰﻰ ﻳَﻄْﻬُﺮْﻥَ ۚ ﻓَﺎِﺫَﺍ ﺗَﻄَﻬَّﺮْﻥَ
ﻓَﺄْﺗُﻮْﻫُﻦَّ ﻣِﻦْ ﺣَﻴْﺚُ ﺍَﻣَﺮَﻛُﻢُ ﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪُ ۗ ﺍِﻥَّ ﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪَ
ﻳُﺤِﺐُّ ﺍﻟﺘَّﻮَّﺍﺑِﻴْﻦَ ﻭَﻳُﺤِﺐُّ ﺍﻟْﻤُﺘَﻄَﻬِّﺮِﻳْﻦَ
wa yas`alụnaka 'anil-maḥīḍ, qul huwa ażan
fa'tazilun-nisā`a fil-maḥīḍi wa lā
taqrabụhunna ḥattā yaṭ-hurn, fa iżā
taṭahharna fa`tụhunna min ḥaiṡu
amarakumullāh, innallāha yuḥibbut-
tawwābīna wa yuḥibbul-mutaṭahhirīn
And they ask thee (Muhammad) about
menstruation. Say, "That's something dirty."
Therefore stay away from your wife during
menstruation; and do not approach them until they
are holy. When they are pure, mix them according
to what Allah has commanded you. Indeed, God
loves those who repent and loves those who purify
themselves.
223
ﻧِﺴَﺎۤﺅُﻛُﻢْ ﺣَﺮْﺙٌ ﻟَّﻜُﻢْ ۖ ﻓَﺄْﺗُﻮْﺍ ﺣَﺮْﺛَﻜُﻢْ ﺍَﻧّٰﻰ
ﺷِﺌْﺘُﻢْ ۖ ﻭَﻗَﺪِّﻣُﻮْﺍ ﻟِﺎَﻧْﻔُﺴِﻜُﻢْ ۗ ﻭَﺍﺗَّﻘُﻮﺍ ﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪَ
ﻭَﺍﻋْﻠَﻤُﻮْٓﺍ ﺍَﻧَّﻜُﻢْ ﻣُّﻠٰﻘُﻮْﻩُ ۗ ﻭَﺑَﺸِّﺮِ ﺍﻟْﻤُﺆْﻣِﻨِﻴْﻦَ
nisā`ukum ḥarṡul lakum fa`tụ ḥarṡakum
annā syi`tum wa qaddimụ li`anfusikum,
wattaqullāha wa'lamū annakum mulāqụh, wa
basysyiril-mu`minīn
Your wives are your fields, so come to your fields
anytime and in any way you like. And prefer (the
good) for yourself. Fear Allah and know that you
will meet Him. And give glad tidings to the
believers.
224
ﻭَﻟَﺎ ﺗَﺠْﻌَﻠُﻮﺍ ﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪَ ﻋُﺮْﺿَﺔً ﻟِّﺎَﻳْﻤَﺎﻧِﻜُﻢْ ﺍَﻥْ ﺗَﺒَﺮُّﻭْﺍ
ﻭَﺗَﺘَّﻘُﻮْﺍ ﻭَﺗُﺼْﻠِﺤُﻮْﺍ ﺑَﻴْﻦَ ﺍﻟﻨَّﺎﺱِۗ ﻭَﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪُ ﺳَﻤِﻴْﻊٌ
ﻋَﻠِﻴْﻢٌ
wa lā taj'alullāha 'urḍatal li`aimānikum an
tabarrụ wa tattaqụ wa tuṣliḥụ bainan-nās,
wallāhu samī'un 'alīm
And make not Allah in your oaths a hindrance to
righteousness, piety and peace among men. God is
All -Hearing, All -Knowing.
225
ﻟَﺎ ﻳُﺆَﺍﺧِﺬُﻛُﻢُ ﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪُ ﺑِﺎﻟﻠَّﻐْﻮِ ﻓِﻲْٓ ﺍَﻳْﻤَﺎﻧِﻜُﻢْ ﻭَﻟٰﻜِﻦْ
ﻳُّﺆَﺍﺧِﺬُﻛُﻢْ ﺑِﻤَﺎ ﻛَﺴَﺒَﺖْ ﻗُﻠُﻮْﺑُﻜُﻢْ ۗ ﻭَﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪُ ﻏَﻔُﻮْﺭٌ
ﺣَﻠِﻴْﻢٌ
lā yu`ākhiżukumullāhu bil-lagwi fī aimānikum
wa lākiy yu`ākhiżukum bimā kasabat
qulụbukum, wallāhu gafụrun ḥalīm
God does not punish you for your unintentional
oaths, but He punishes you for the intentions that
are in your hearts. God is Most Forgiving, Most
Forbearing.
226
ﻟِﻠَّﺬِﻳْﻦَ ﻳُﺆْﻟُﻮْﻥَ ﻣِﻦْ ﻧِّﺴَﺎۤﻯِٕﻬِﻢْ ﺗَﺮَﺑُّﺺُ ﺍَﺭْﺑَﻌَﺔِ
ﺍَﺷْﻬُﺮٍۚ ﻓَﺎِﻥْ ﻓَﺎۤﺀُﻭْ ﻓَﺎِﻥَّ ﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪَ ﻏَﻔُﻮْﺭٌ ﺭَّﺣِﻴْﻢٌ
lillażīna yu`lụna min nisā`ihim tarabbuṣu
arba'ati asy-hur, fa in fā`ụ fa innallāha
gafụrur raḥīm
For those who crave their wives, they have to wait
four months. Then if they return (to their wives),
then indeed, Allah is Forgiving, Most Merciful.
227
ﻭَﺍِﻥْ ﻋَﺰَﻣُﻮﺍ ﺍﻟﻄَّﻠَﺎﻕَ ﻓَﺎِﻥَّ ﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪَ ﺳَﻤِﻴْﻊٌ ﻋَﻠِﻴْﻢٌ
wa in 'azamuṭ-ṭalāqa fa innallāha samī'un
'alīm
And if they decide to divorce, then surely Allah is
All -Hearing, All -Knowing.
228
ﻭَﺍﻟْﻤُﻄَﻠَّﻘٰﺖُ ﻳَﺘَﺮَﺑَّﺼْﻦَ ﺑِﺎَﻧْﻔُﺴِﻬِﻦَّ ﺛَﻠٰﺜَﺔَ ﻗُﺮُﻭْۤﺀٍۗ
ﻭَﻟَﺎ ﻳَﺤِﻞُّ ﻟَﻬُﻦَّ ﺍَﻥْ ﻳَّﻜْﺘُﻤْﻦَ ﻣَﺎ ﺧَﻠَﻖَ ﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪُ ﻓِﻲْٓ
ﺍَﺭْﺣَﺎﻣِﻬِﻦَّ ﺍِﻥْ ﻛُﻦَّ ﻳُﺆْﻣِﻦَّ ﺑِﺎﻟﻠّٰﻪِ ﻭَﺍﻟْﻴَﻮْﻡِ ﺍﻟْﺎٰﺧِﺮِۗ
ﻭَﺑُﻌُﻮْﻟَﺘُﻬُﻦَّ ﺍَﺣَﻖُّ ﺑِﺮَﺩِّﻫِﻦَّ ﻓِﻲْ ﺫٰﻟِﻚَ ﺍِﻥْ ﺍَﺭَﺍﺩُﻭْٓﺍ
ﺍِﺻْﻠَﺎﺣًﺎ ۗﻭَﻟَﻬُﻦَّ ﻣِﺜْﻞُ ﺍﻟَّﺬِﻱْ ﻋَﻠَﻴْﻬِﻦَّ ﺑِﺎﻟْﻤَﻌْﺮُﻭْﻑِۖ
ﻭَﻟِﻠﺮِّﺟَﺎﻝِ ﻋَﻠَﻴْﻬِﻦَّ ﺩَﺭَﺟَﺔٌ ۗ ﻭَﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪُ ﻋَﺰِﻳْﺰٌ ﺣَﻜِﻴْﻢٌ
wal-muṭallaqātu yatarabbaṣna bi`anfusihinna
ṡalāṡata qurū`, wa lā yaḥillu lahunna ay
yaktumna mā khalaqallāhu fī ar-ḥāmihinna
ing kunna yu`minna billāhi wal-yaumil-ākhir,
wa bu'ụlatuhunna aḥaqqu biraddihinna fī
żālika in arādū iṣlāḥā, wa lahunna miṡlullażī
'alaihinna bil-ma'rụfi wa lir-rijāli 'alaihinna
darajah, wallāhu 'azīzun ḥakīm
And the divorced wives (must) restrain themselves
(wait) three times quru '. It is not for them to
conceal what Allah has created in their wombs, if
they believe in Allah and the Last Day. And their
husbands are more entitled to return to them in
that (time), if they desire improvement. And they
(the women) have rights equal to their obligations
in a proper manner. But husbands have an
advantage over them. God is Almighty, Wise.
229
ﺍَﻟﻄَّﻠَﺎﻕُ ﻣَﺮَّﺗٰﻦِ ۖ ﻓَﺎِﻣْﺴَﺎﻙٌۢ ﺑِﻤَﻌْﺮُﻭْﻑٍ ﺍَﻭْ
ﺗَﺴْﺮِﻳْﺢٌۢ ﺑِﺎِﺣْﺴَﺎﻥٍ ۗ ﻭَﻟَﺎ ﻳَﺤِﻞُّ ﻟَﻜُﻢْ ﺍَﻥْ ﺗَﺄْﺧُﺬُﻭْﺍ
ﻣِﻤَّﺎٓ ﺍٰﺗَﻴْﺘُﻤُﻮْﻫُﻦَّ ﺷَﻴْـًٔﺎ ﺍِﻟَّﺎٓ ﺍَﻥْ ﻳَّﺨَﺎﻓَﺎٓ ﺍَﻟَّﺎ ﻳُﻘِﻴْﻤَﺎ
ﺣُﺪُﻭْﺩَ ﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪِ ۗ ﻓَﺎِﻥْ ﺧِﻔْﺘُﻢْ ﺍَﻟَّﺎ ﻳُﻘِﻴْﻤَﺎ ﺣُﺪُﻭْﺩَ
ﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪِ ۙ ﻓَﻠَﺎ ﺟُﻨَﺎﺡَ ﻋَﻠَﻴْﻬِﻤَﺎ ﻓِﻴْﻤَﺎ ﺍﻓْﺘَﺪَﺕْ ﺑِﻪٖ ۗ
ﺗِﻠْﻚَ ﺣُﺪُﻭْﺩُ ﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪِ ﻓَﻠَﺎ ﺗَﻌْﺘَﺪُﻭْﻫَﺎ ۚﻭَﻣَﻦْ ﻳَّﺘَﻌَﺪَّ
ﺣُﺪُﻭْﺩَ ﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪِ ﻓَﺎُﻭﻟٰۤﻯِٕﻚَ ﻫُﻢُ ﺍﻟﻈّٰﻠِﻤُﻮْﻥَ
aṭ-ṭalāqu marratāni fa imsākum bima'rụfin au
tasrīḥum bi`iḥsān, wa lā yaḥillu lakum an
ta`khużụ mimmā ātaitumụhunna syai`an illā
ay yakhāfā allā yuqīmā ḥudụdallāh, fa in
khiftum allā yuqīmā ḥudụdallāhi fa lā junāḥa
'alaihimā fīmaftadat bih, tilka ḥudụdullāhi fa
lā ta'tadụhā, wa may yata'adda ḥudụdallāhi fa
ulā`ika humuẓ-ẓālimụn
The divorce (which can be referred) is twice. (After
that the husband can) hold well, or let go well. It is
not lawful for you to take back what you have
given them, unless both (husband and wife) fear
that they will not be able to carry out Allah's laws.
If you (the guardian) are worried that both of them
are not able to carry out the laws of Allah, then
both of them are not guilty of the payment (must)
be given (by the wife) to redeem themselves.
These are the laws of Allah, so do not break them.
Whoever violates Allah's laws, they are the
wrongdoers.
230
ﻓَﺎِﻥْ ﻃَﻠَّﻘَﻬَﺎ ﻓَﻠَﺎ ﺗَﺤِﻞُّ ﻟَﻪٗ ﻣِﻦْۢ ﺑَﻌْﺪُ ﺣَﺘّٰﻰ
ﺗَﻨْﻜِﺢَ ﺯَﻭْﺟًﺎ ﻏَﻴْﺮَﻩٗ ۗ ﻓَﺎِﻥْ ﻃَﻠَّﻘَﻬَﺎ ﻓَﻠَﺎ ﺟُﻨَﺎﺡَ
ﻋَﻠَﻴْﻬِﻤَﺎٓ ﺍَﻥْ ﻳَّﺘَﺮَﺍﺟَﻌَﺎٓ ﺍِﻥْ ﻇَﻨَّﺎٓ ﺍَﻥْ ﻳُّﻘِﻴْﻤَﺎ
ﺣُﺪُﻭْﺩَ ﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪِ ۗ ﻭَﺗِﻠْﻚَ ﺣُﺪُﻭْﺩُ ﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪِ ﻳُﺒَﻴِّﻨُﻬَﺎ ﻟِﻘَﻮْﻡٍ
ﻳَّﻌْﻠَﻤُﻮْﻥَ
fa in ṭallaqahā fa lā taḥillu lahụ mim ba'du
ḥattā tangkiḥa zaujan gairah, fa in ṭallaqahā fa
lā junāḥa 'alaihimā ay yatarāja'ā in ẓannā ay
yuqīmā ḥudụdallāh, wa tilka ḥudụdullāhi
yubayyinuhā liqaumiy ya'lamụn
Then if he divorces her (after the second divorce),
then the woman is no longer lawful for him until
she marries another husband. Then if the other
husband divorces her, then there is no sin for both
(first husband and ex-wife) to remarry if both think
they will be able to carry out Allah's laws. These
are the provisions of Allah which He makes clear to
those who have knowledge.
